Shopian, July 27 (KNO) : After a night long search operation, gunfight has started between militants and government forces in Bongam area of Shopian district of South Kashmir. Official sources told KNO that a joint team of Army and SOG Shopian launched a cordon and search operation in Bongam area of Shopian after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area on Friday evening. After night long search Operation, contact with militants was established on Saturday morning, they said. When last reports came intermittent firing was going on. Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area. (KNO) Further details awaited
